About the event

A brand new resource for the rhythmically challenged! introducing Festive Fragments by Keri Degg. Using the hilarious method of fragmenting a melody over three parts/players, small groups can enjoy a handbells-type experience and (almost definitely!) much hilarity in trying to piece these musical puzzles together!

The arrangements are only recogniseable if most of the notes and rhythms are correct and these are viewed as a light-hearted group tool. The 24 pieces are merely numbered (not given titles) and even then they are discreetly only given at the end of the score. Arrangements 1-12 are the simplest with just a fragmented melody line being divided between the three players and numbers 13-24 incorporate a harmony line (also fragmented!) along with the melody so at any one time a player can be playing a harmony note, a melody note, or simply frantically counting rests etc!

The pieces also have a star rating from one to three with one being the easier option through to three being the more challenging option. That said, players from grade 1 through to intermediate players plus will gain enjoyment and fun from the collection (and more advanced players can really test themselves by cranking up the tempo!).

The editions for three players is available in the following: 1. Three (same) flutes, 2. Three (same) clarinets, and 3. Three (same) saxophones.

For added danger apply a couple of glasses of mulled wine beforehand! ;D
